I met Tensley and Andrew through Tensley’s mom, Deborah. Deborah was my son’s teacher at EMCS. To say how much I love, adore and admire her would be a complete understatement. She taught him so much and invested so much time and energy into his little life while he was there. He still talks about her and misses her being his teacher!
I got to tag along for ONE of their engagement sessions. Luckily for Tensley and Andrew, Deborah was in the photography business for many, many years so they were blessed with several engagement session opportunities. We took a few pictures of Tens and Andrew during the summer at the Emerald Mountain Golf Course. It was a typical humid Alabama day.
They love the outdoors. Naturally, their wedding was planned around that. Deborah and Tensley planned and coordinated the precious garden wedding. There were so many handmade touches and details to the wedding.
Hurricane Nate tried his best to put a stop to their day. But if you know Deborah Batson at ALL…. she ain’t gonna let anything rain on her parade! She scurried around and went to plan B. She was able to get a tent for the outdoor reception area and it worked out perfectly. The rain held off long enough for the ceremony and a light drizzle came during the reception. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better outcome given the dreary forecast.
